Quick-change flat system

Much thought has been put into the design of this easily erected modular system for creating much needed privacy for performers and a area for chaperones to house young or vulnerable cast backstage. They can even be rapidly deployed for demanding blackout moves and stage magic!

At a bare minimum, two flats and a cloth door placed against a wall are enough to provide a discreet changing area, but the modular nature of the design enables booths of any size with multiple entry and exit doors. Comprised of serged flats, cloth doors and dowel blocks, the system offers freedom to utilize any wing room with the following benefits:

• Flats are lightweight, slim and easily erected by stage crew without ladders.

• Dowel blocks allow numerous configurations while keeping the edges tight, preventing light leaks and preserving privacy

• "U" shaped cutouts at the top of each brace provide safe and convenient tracks for lighting / power cables.

• Turnbuckles retain the braces when not in use for easy storage.

• Space for stage weights at the foot of the brace to increase stability.

For an extended lifespan in a touring production, a storage dolly that neatly houses the components is recommended and can be built to your bespoke requirements.
